Ryan Putt

Mr. Putt currently works as a middle school band director in Fort Worth, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and a Master of Music from the University of Nevada, Reno. Following his graduation from UNR, Ryan went on to enlist in the United States Navy, serving as a trombonist. While a member of the Navy's fleet band program, Ryan also worked as an arranger, live sound tech, and enjoyed the opportunity to conduct the Pacific Fleet Band and Navy Band Southeast as a junior enlisted sailor.

Upon leaving the Navy, Mr. Putt obtained his Texas teacher certification. While teaching, he has completed a Professional Certificate in Arranging and Advanced Professional Certificates in Orchestration for Film and Television and Guitar through the Berklee College of Music online extension.

Ryan began arranging for trombone and brass ensembles as an undergrad trombone student. During his time in the Navy music program, he expanded into arranging for jazz and popular music groups as well as large ensembles. Mr. Putt began composing actively in 2021 with his first work for orchestra. He continues to write for orchestra and wind band, as well as arranging, and maintaining his performance career.
